For those of you who don't know, my nephew Elliot (Alta's baby) was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis last year. It is a terrible disease that has no cure. There has been alot of research and development in treatments in the past few years and today, the life expectancy of a cystic fibrosis patient is about 39. Our dream is that Elliot will be able to live much longer than that and enjoy a healthy life.

This year our family is really excited about the Great Strides event that raises money for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for research and treatment. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been absolutely amazing in the help and information it has given Elliot and his family. You can learn more about it at http://www.cff.org/.

Last year we had an overwhelming show of support for both the Kansas and Utah walks. This year we want to do even better. The Great Strides walk in Utah is on May 16, 2009 at Wheeler Farm starting at 10:00 am. It is a great family event.
